If you’ve ever read Jamie Oliver’s 15 Minute Meals, you will have noticed that without preparation, those meals will never be ready within that given time.
The same is true when creating your own website. Preparation is key.
Log into your server and create a MySQL database as well as a user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it. Remember the name of the database, user as well as password.
Software
Download the FileZilla and enter your log-in details which will be the same as you have used for for Cpanel. Upload all WordPress files into the html public folder. Now re-name wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php and edit the file. Here enter the chosen database name, user name and password which you have set earlier.
Open Website
Type in your website domain and the wordpress installation should run. WordPress should now be installed. If you know what you are doing, then everything will be ready within 5 minutes. That’s it!
Choosing a Theme
However, the website is very basic on consists only of 3 pages. Now the real work begins. You can install a theme and create posts and pages according to your preferences, making use of the copy and images you have prepared earlier.
